ADDICTIVE, is probably the best way to describe the game of Disc Golf. There is something about the simplicity of the game, the ease of access into the sport, and the community that makes this game as amazing as it is.

I have been involved in the sport since late summer of 2018. A course had been installed near our house a few years back and I had always wondered what the game was about. Not knowing the first thing about the sport I put off giving it a try. I had contacted my mother who has always been a fan of throwing Frisbee in the backyard and asked if she would be willing to try this game out. She was 100% on board and had informed me that my brother actually owned a bunch of discs. So with our 2nd hand discs in an old denim bag we set off on the local course. I managed to pick up a few tips via YouTube before our first game, and I'm not sure it did me any good, but at least I understood the mechanics. We played horrible, but we had a ton of fun. I was instantaneously hooked.

I found contacts from within old friend circles who apparently had been playing for years, one who even plays professionally. I soaked up every conceivable byte of data online that would help me get my form and distance where I needed it to be. I started playing in random dubs leagues, and playing every spare minute I had. I was all in. It did not take long before I realized the potential for business in this growing industry. and within about 5 months of finding this amazing sport, I started Hyzer Disc Sports LLC. My goal was simple, bring new people into this amazing community, and provide the players already here, with the best possible products, for the best possible price, with the best possible customer service I could manage. Shortly after launch I was sponsoring local events, giving out free information and mini's to local kids, and this year taking on the role of Tournament director and running my own event.

With this blog I want to chronicle my insights and knowledge about this amazing sport, in the hopes that it will help future generation of Disc Golfers. Provide useful and practical information to those already enjoying this sport and share my views of this great game along the way. Happy throwing everyone!
